Oasis


I was responsible for the architecture in the gardens point of Oasis. This was a very challenging map to make, because not only we had a very tight deadline, but we also didn't have any environment concept artists at that time, so I had to "wing" the look and come up with something. The pitch was to make a futuristic garden set in a floating island, and my main inspiration for this was the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Special credits to Dion Rogers, who took care of all the Vegetation and lighting, Bram Eulaers and Helder Pinto, who helped finalize some of the architecture, Lindsay Johnson and Nate Bowden for props, and Philip Klevestav for all the backdrop (and other points) architecture work. Level design by Aaron Keller and art direction by Bill Petras.
