This tutorial can be used as multiple creative 'tools' in your arsenal. For me, it helped me to learn UE4 coming from a largely UDK background. It's the 1 stop shop for everything I needed to update my knowledge. It also helped me to understand modular texturing and modelling better.

Coming from a largely DSN background, I was able to quickly learn the modern PBR workflow and make a professional quality environment from complete scratch. This filled in so many missing gaps in my knowledge, my head felt like swiss cheese with all the missing pieces of doing a full, professional 3D Env. He really starts from absolutely nothing, and you just get to watch him work and think his way through problems that an environment artist will need to deal with. He reveals his workflow, the golden ticket to making the whole process click in your head.

One thing that blew me away was how much it inspired my creativity. Once I started building the pieces just like he was, I took a break from watching and tested myself, "How many pieces can I build using only these modular texture sheets?" Once I started to build those pieces, I have completely jumped into my own idea of an environment. I began to try different lighting, colors, assets and textures. I had the walls a bright matte pink, then tried yellow, then had some cool cyberpunk wording. I realized that my mind has just been inspired to create something of my own, even though I was in the beginning stages of the tutorial. Once I found the color combination of lighting, I knew I had to go in that direction.

What was the best thing of all was how fun it was! Sometimes Env art can be a drag, at least in college it really could feel that way. This let my mind do the best creative parts and leave all the technical stuff for later. After using this tutorial, it has changed the way I work on all 3D projects forever. If you are a college student right now -

This is a MUST have, you will 100% be ahead of everyone around you. If you are a professional, your going to learn from one of the top 3D environment artists in the industry, your knowledge will be improved in some facet, if anything the speed in which you are able to prototype a scene or level. If you''re just looking for value, holy s**t you get tons of hours of pure 3D environment art knowledge that is unbeatable in comparison to any other tutorial I have found so far. Every single person looking to work in 3D in general MUST have this tutorial, you will 100% get a competitive edge. This should honestly be the standard for all 3D Env artists going forward. If you start here you will realize your potential is limitless and it will reveal just how fun working in 3D really is!
